Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at shop9t9designs@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We have Jewlery in several locations throughout the Black Hills in South Dakota! Prairie Edge in Rapid City, The Junk Drawer in Spearfish & Aspire Boutique in Lead. We occasionally do shows & are always happy to welcome you into our home studio to shop, get repairs done or design something custom! Contact us for an appointment.

Yes, we sell wholesale to shops and boutiques with a minimum $$$ purchase & proof of your business location & information. Please contact us directly for more information, thank you.

OH MY, YES!!! We look forward to working with clients creating those very special one-of-a-kind pieces! Contact us to discuss your custom order. Please allow a minimum of 3 weeks if you are planning to give your custom piece as a gift & longer if we are shipping!

We are closing the online SHOP in April of 2026. BUT....you can view many of our designs here in our Photo Galleries, or on our Facebook Page & order that exact item or have us create a similar one!

We enjoy working with mixed metals: Sterling Silver, Copper, Gold Filled, Brass and of course we love using a wide array of precious and semi-precious stones, pearls and a wide variety of beads. Each piece is unique and mindfully hand crafted by Gary & Nancy.

Yes. And No. Some pieces we will have to decline, but we will ALWAYS explain to you WHY something cannot be fixed after looking your items over. Generally speaking, yes, we do a LOT of repair work: re-stringing or re-working older or broken pieces seems to be the biggest request. But remember - it's always a no if you never ask, so just ASK!

We keep our class sizes small in order to give each student ample time to capture the concepts & methods & to practice with the tools that each class introduces you to. Plan on 3 hours, but know there are times we may go a little longer longer, or even finish a little early!

Absolutely NOT! We welcome the beginners & the more practiced equally! We do require that you take the Basics in Silversmithing before you attend the more advanced class, however.

We would prefer guests over 16 for silversmithing, since you will be using a torch & other tools. Some leeway can be applied if the parent is also attending the class. The other jewlery making classes are open to most ages able to use basic hand tools & follow directions while in a 3 hour class, thank you.

We work out of our home studio in the beautiful town of Spearfish, SD located in the Northern tip of the Black Hills. We have a nice little silversmith workshop and a separate "beading/design" area where our 2 kitties, Gus & Frank lounge in the sun & help us stay grounded & creative! We hope you'll feel free to visit sometime!
